Penelope Heaslip BScN, MEd, (1945- )
Penelope Heaslip graduated in 1967 from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She attained a Masters of Education (Administration) from the University of Victoria in 1978. She began her nursing career in Ottawa as a staff nurse in general surgery and obstetrics at the Riverside Hospital. In 1969, she moved to Victoria, British Columbia to take up a position at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, School of Nursing as a nurse educator. Penelope Heaslip also taught Post-RN students at the University of Victoria, School of Nursing and in 1983 moved to Kamloops, British Columbia to take a faculty position in the School of Nursing at Cariboo College. (Thompson Rivers University) Penelope Heaslip currently is the coordinator for the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Thompson Rivers University.
