Interests

My professional practice has an emphasis on direct patient care in the high acuity settings across multiculturalism populations in Canada, the Middle East and India. With a philosophical and empirical basis in clinical practice and client reported outcomes, focus on quality care and patient safety outcomes, and transition in care; I have appreciated the positivity, growth, and influence of professional nursing in acute clinical practice. I believe I endeavour to engage young intellectual minds to discover and to create evidence-informed knowledge, with a philosophy that seeks to promote excellence, innovations and research mindedness among students and educators to achieve the highest standards in professional nursing. I believe that creating bridges to patient safety and ethical practice will enhance informed decision making and trusting relationships in nursing practice. I trust my mission is committed to advancing best nursing practices through student-centred, interactive and blended learning towards achieving evidence-informed practice.

Research Interests

My scholarly journey integrates the significant dimensions of health promotion, disease prevention, equity, diversity, and inclusiveness in patient-centred care and technology among multicultural populations with chronic illness. I believe that integrating teaching scholarship is the beginning of a lifelong journey of bridging assessing and managing clients at high-risk, treated for and surviving Chronic illness, Diabetes Mellitus, Cancer, Breast Cancer and complexity illness. My ardour is to steadfastly enable commitment to practice change and capabilities within people with an intent to act and engage in healthy lifestyle choices and community based participatory action.
